DESCRIPTION:Friends of the Mountains-to-Sea Trail’s mission is to bring together communities and volunteers to build\, maintain\, and advocate for an enduring footpath connecting North Carolina’s natural\, historic\, and cultural treasures and to ensure that all people feel welcome on the trail. \nThe 2026 gathering weekend in Asheville will include: \n\nEarly bird meet-up on Thursday evening\nFriday welcome reception and dinner at Highland Brewing\nSaturday Friends of the MST annual meeting at A-B Tech Community College\nRecognition of MST volunteers and completers\nGuided tours\, excursions and hikes\nOpportunities to learn from and connect with local partners and learn about community recovery efforts in the Asheville area\nTime for fellowship with Friends of the MST and MORE!\n\nRegistration is required. Due to the generosity of our supporters\, donors\, and volunteers\, we’ve spent the past year rebuilding the Village\, wheel by wheel and wall by wall. \nNow the doors have re-opened\, it’s time to celebrate\, and YOU are invited! \nThis event will showcase our relocated and expanded facilities\, vibrant programming\, and the artists and students who bring the space to life.
